Air Fried Prosciutto Peaches are maybe not most popular appetizer out there as not everyone enjoys the combination of salty and sweet. That being said, I do believe you are missing out if you do not try these!
I did get the idea from Prosciutto Melon which is a typical Italian dish of fresh melon slices, wrapped in prosciutto. I might even try these next in the Air Fryer!
The prosciutto here wraps around the peaches and it does keep them extra moist and soft. As we know, the hot quick air of the air fryer tends to dry the food out. Now, thanks to the prosciutto, the peaches are juicy and caramelized.
A typical seasoning for these prosciutto peaches is balsamic vinegar or some fresh mint and basil. I served them on a bed of rucola. However this was more for the presentation of the dish. Lastly, I would like to point out that no oil was used in this recipe.
To summarize, peaches are indeed a great summer fruit and very popular for various recipes. If you are a peach fan, do also try the Air Fried Peach Mozzarella Salad, if you wish. I would also pair these Air Fried Prosciutto Peaches with some Panzanella Salad or some Pesto Chicken.
