Air fried Chorizo empanadas are a great snack to make in your Air fryer. They are perfect for entertaining your guests or snacking while watching a sports game.

Today we will compare Air fried vs Oven Baked Empanadas! To be completely honest, both cooking methods worked great. The oven baked empanadas were cooked more thoroughly and they were crunchier. That being said, I did not turn the empanadas in the Air Fryer so the result may had been different.

I serve the leftover tomato salsa on the side to dip the empanadas in. Chorizo has a very strong flavor so if you are not into it, you may consider replacing it with a milder option. You can, for instance, just use the tomato salsa, cheeses and fresh basil. This is a caprese version of these empanadas and it is vegetarian!
